#PODCAST Why #Nigerian Teachers are the WORST in the world. They teach POOR English! #HNNEducation

Abiola Adeogun via Facebook
This is the one reason why Nigerian youth have never progressed into good jobs and possess good resumes. The teachers themselves are illiterates. They cannot pronounce words correctly and feed these dumb youth wrong information. Listen too the podcast and see the comments below as Abiola Adeogun cannot defragment a sentence. Truly a shame.

Abiola Adeogun DRKOO "none of my sisters are in PDP" is grammatically not correct. It should be 'is' not 'are'.

This is a sincere observation!

Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo Terrible shame. Poor English trying to correct me. Sisters is a plural word. "none of my sisters are in PDP" NOT "none of my sisters is in PDP" <<<<Unlike · 3 · Commented on by Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo ·January 20 at 4:05pm

Abiola Adeogun Oluwa o! What confused you is the choice of whether 'none' or 'sisters' is the subject of the sentence! If you care to know, 'none' is an indefinite pronoun which must strictly be followed by a singular verb.

Whenever you use 'none of', 'each of', 'any of', etc; plural noun(sisters) will follow then singular verb(is); which is the case at hand!

With due respect, if you believe I don't know in spite of that analysis, it is either you don't know or you don't stand corrected!

Note, I stand corrected any time!

Thanks for your time.

Abiola Adeogun Imagine! You are even making reference to native speakers that blunder anyhow. In any language, you don't always get it that perfect from native speakers because of carelessness stems perhaps from their fluency in the language.

Can't you lay your hands on a text or an authority that can educate you on this? Are you bigger than correction?

Afterall, you have not given me any scholarly or technical defence of the grammatical error you committed. Is reference to native speakers a scholarly defence?

Tell me I am wrong with a reference to a linguistic authority!

Abiola Adeogun I disgraced you today. You can call someone to rescue you; I will even disgrace your native speakers if they care to take on me. Invite them!

This is what I know!
